Diabetes Prevention Program with the Social and Health Research Center
Social and Health Research Center INC
DPP with the SAHRC is an educational-based, behavioral therapy curriculum aimed at preventing diabetes and obesity in adults. SAHRC's health educators believe that when clients are educated about nutrition, physical activity and other healthy lifestyles clients are more likely to make healthier decisions for themselves and their families. Goal-setting and self-monitoring are two key behavior components of the program. Our curriculum can be used in community centers, schools, wellness worksites, and in physician practices.
