SAFB Viva Bien/Live Well with Diabetes

CentroMed partners with the San Antonio Food Bank to offer "SAFB - Viva Bien/Live Well with Diabetes" on site. This program is a FREE, BILINGUAL Lifestyle Education Initiative of the SAFB Nutrition, Health & Wellness Division offered three times a year at CentroMed Southside Health and Wellness Center (as well as concurrently at the San Antonio Food Bank). The nine week curriculum covers a variety of Nutrition, Health and Wellness topics with strong focus on Healthy Cooking and Exercise to better manage Diabetes Type-2 or prevent it. Every class include at least 3 Hands-on Cooking Demonstrations and participants receive incentives for knowledge gained and intention to cook healthier at home. Participants are encouraged to bring their spouses or other family members along! Please CentroMed's website for the full wellness schedule as it changes monthly! (CentroMed Health and Wellness classes are free and open to the public, however, specific medical screenings are available for CentroMed patients only. CentroMed is a Federally Qualified Health Center with over 20 sites throughout Bexar and Comal Counties. Our clinics are located throughout the San Antonio Metro Area and offer primary healthcare to everyone. We accept almost all medical and dental insurances as well as offer assistance for those who are uninsured or underinsured. Additional fitness classes available through membership at our two Centro Fitness locations.)
